State:
Texas

Answer:

In Texas there are two types of marriages that are eligible for annulment: void marriages that should never have been, and voidable marriages that can be canceled because of circumstances. Without knowing the specifics of your situation, it is impossible to say whether or not your marriage meets any of the requirements to be voided in Texas. More likely, your marriage is not voidable and you will have to get a “nomal” Texas divorce. If you do get divorced, you will be eligible for alimony at that time and the judge will make the decision as to whether or not you receive it. – The Divorce.com Team Wendy Jaffe and Divorce.com can only provide general information about divorce.
