Can you divorce your family in the state of Virginia?

Question:

Can you divorce your family in the state of Va?

State:
Virginia

Answer:

Your question is a bit vague. You can get divorced in Virginia just like any other state of course, but divorce is between a husband and wife, not a whole family. When divorcing your spouse you will probably end all future contact with your in-laws, and that could be considered “divorcing your family” I suppose. If you are a dependant child and member of a family, no, you cannot “divorce your family” if that is what you were asking. – The Divorce.com Team Wendy Jaffe and Divorce.com can only provide general information about divorce.
