State:
Mississippi

Answer:

Divorce or reconciliation in a 15-year marriage? Our recommendation is that you attempt to reconcile your differences and try to get along. Our basic premise here at Divorce.com is that marriage is always preferable to divorce unless there is abuse or danger to the parties involved. One thing for sure though, getting divorced is almost ALWAYS more expensive than staying married. You can get along, or not, off and on for many years during a marriage without making radical or drastic changes to your lifestyle. Once you get divorced, the changes are assured and you cannot work on the relationship at all. If you have been married for 15 years there must be something that attracted you in the first place, try some counseling or mediation to see if you can’t rekindle that spark spomehow, at least enough to get along in a reasonable fashion. You can always get divorced later on. Once you’re divorced, a remarriage is very unlikely. – The Divorce.com Team Wendy Jaffe and Divorce.com can only provide general information about divorce.
