JOINT LEGAL CUSTODY – Child custody in which major decision-making and responsibilities related to the child are shared by both parents.
JOINT PHYSICAL CUSTODY – When both parents share the physical custody of a child.
JOINT PROPERTY – When property is in the name of more than one person.
JUDGMENT – The ruling handed down by the court.
JUDGMENT OF DIVORCE – The document that is prepared by the attorney and presented to the judge to sign. It is a formal document that states that the spouses are legally divorced.
JURISDICTION - Power possessed by the court in which they can rule on all issues related to the parties, their property and children.
